TODD BUSCHUR

I developed an interest in drawing racecars at an early age. I suppose it was the numerous visits my father and I would take to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway throughout my childhood.

This interest in motor sports has developed into a passion for many forms of motoring art, which include American "open-wheel" and Formula One racing.

I have work in the private collection of four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Rick Mears and I enjoy the challenge of working in graphite, charcoal and oil paint.

My work is not usually an attempt to record a particular historical event but rather my desire to enhance light, depth and movement which for me illustrate the excitement and beauty of motor sports to the viewer. I continue to explore visual means that capture the relationship of the driver and car with the surrounding environment.
