STUART SPENCER

Born in Handsworth, Birmingham, England in 1940 and educated at Handsworth Technical School and Birmingham College of Art, Stuart began his career as a graphic designer. He joined Rootes Motors as an illustrator and then worked at Chrysler, before moving to P.S.A's advanced styling studios. In 1983 he joined Jaguar Cars and is presently employed as a principle designer in their styling department.

Stuart has exhibited his works at The British Museum of Transport (Coventry), British Motor Shows, Donington, Brooklands and Silverstone Raceways, various galleries and hotels in Chester, York, Bath and Nottingham as well as in his home town Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

From her studio, his wife Mary markets the illustrations he creates world wide using the pseudonym "Spencer Trauts". She has sold Stuart's paintings to Audi, Peugeot, Saab, Jaguar, Alitalia, Martini Rossi and many of the world's leading drivers.
