MIKE BATE

Mike was born in 1955 in Essex. With Epping Forest as a backdrop an interest in art was soon cultivated. He studied at Portsmouth College of Art & Design in the mid 70's to qualify as a technical illustrator and airbrush artist.

Having worked for several years in the Lake District, Mike now lives in rural Hertfordshire. After illustrating on the boards with a major aerospace company he decided to start his own company Tudor Studios in 1994. Mike's freelance work has taken him all over the UK , in addition to a spell in Germany, working on the "Neu Beetle". He is a Member of the Herts. Visual Arts Forum and a member of The Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators. In addition Mike has exhibited his artwork locally selling prints and cards.

Mike's interest is mainly for classic vehicles, owning and restoring a 1949 MG TC and a 1960 Austin A35 Van. He will gladly undertake commissions in watercolour or oils and can be contacted on 01438 833072 or
