MARTIN BUFFERY

Born in 1970 in Birmingham and obsessed with cars and planes from an early age Martin found his way almost by accident into a career in car design gaining an MA at Coventry University en route.

Now working at Land Rover with over ten years experience in automotive design Martin brings a deep understanding of form, light and reflection to his paintings and drawings.

Working principally in pencil the aim is to catch either a dynamic sense of speed and power or a more intimate personal scene such as the nervous minutes before a major race.

Martin's pictures are now finding an increasingly wider audience with commissions regularly undertaken for reasonable rates and frequent sales from exhibitions.

As well as being a member of the Guild of Motoring Artists he is also involved with the Guild of Aviation Artists and their annual exhibition at the Mall Gallery in London and has been exhibited in Detroit and flying clubs in the Midlands.
